These rooms hardly resemble class rooms. No children, no desks, books, chalk, posters, or computers. But this is how we value education in Chicago. Our students are not individuals; they have no names, they have no faces, no character. We don’t seem to care too much about them. Blend them into the walls and make them disappear.
