The campus has 17 buildings with only 4 in operation. Its one of the oldest hospitals in Chicago.

There is a strong possibility that the hospital may be razed soon. From the massive economic decline to the threat of the proposed Olympic Village, the fate of Michael Reese Hospital lies in as much mystery as the entire campus.
